I first saw a tutorial on this gorgeous mini album by Steff Miller on the Prima channel and thought it was very clever.
I decided to make it using our current In Colour Series 2013-2015 and 2014-2016. I was really surprised at how well the two collections go together.
This is the template for the base of the album

I had a little bit of trouble with my score lines but managed to work it out before cutting

From there, just use whatever paper takes your fancy but I personally like the way all these go together. I used a retired collection, Enchanted Garden, because I wanted that particular shade of green to go with the Strawberry Slush.

These two little bits were cut with a decorative lable die and a scallop punch and are used to extend the fronts out a bit

When you cut the two pieces shown below, you have to make sure that if it's a patterned piece like what I used, that the pattern lines up

For the inside I used a paper from the Designer Series In Colour 2014-2016, Mossy Meadow and for the edges I used left over Strawberry Slush. I think they look really good together

With these two little bits, you do exactly the same as for the front.
The inside layers are as follows:
Piece 1 - Tag 6" x 3 1/2" - score at 5 and 5 1/8. (I actually had to cut the top of the tag off because it was too long to close
)Piece 2 - Decorative ends, 12" x 3 1/2" - score at 2 6/8, 2 7/8, 8 3/8 and 8 1/2
Piece 3 - Scallop punch end - 12" x 5 5/8" - score at 3 7/8 and 7 6/8
Piece 4 - Yellow piece - 3 3/4" x 5 11/16" score at 1/8"
Piece 5 - Journalling card - 4" x 6" - score at 3 3/4 on long edge

Layer them inside the box as shown:

In these pictures you can see where I have had to trim the tag to fit:

I have to say, I had a lot of fun decorating this one up

You can see why it's important to match up any designs.
I used some Prima flowers to add interest

and some keys I had in my stash and VOILA!
