Merry Tags Christmas ornaments

Hello fellow crafters.  My post today is about a little idea I had to try to make some Christmas ornaments using some of the current Stampin'Up! Holiday catalogue items.  To start with, I used the easiest, that being the Merry Wishes Tag dies.

I cut this die three times.  Once in Whisper White cardstock, once in green cardstock and once in kraft cardstock.  I then cut the trees from the green cardstock and the reindeer from the kraft cardstock.  I glued these two pieces onto the white cardstock.

I also cut a piece of window sheet using the 2 inch circle punch and glued this behind it, mainly to give the gold glimmer card something to attach to.  Also cut a 2 inch circle from gold glimmer card.

I then attached the gold glimmer card to the back so it was visible from the front.  I used some of the twine trio (the gold one) and attached it at the back and then glued another gold glimmer circle over that to hide the string.

I did the same thing with the Christmas tree die.

Then I got a little more adventurous.  I dug out my Cozy Christmas Hostess stamp set and built up the little owl.  I used my circle dies to cut the rim of the shaker, the back piece and the back gold piece.  I stamped the branch onto the white circle and glued my owl onto the branch.
I added a window sheet and used some of the new foam adhesive strips to build a barrier for my shaker items.  I used a powder tool to remove the sticky from the owl and around the rim of the shaker part and added my sequins.  I then glued the white circle with the owl on it over the top.  I added string to the back and glued a piece of glimmer paper over that.  I was quite happy with the result and will be working on some of my other stamp sets in the weeks to come.  You can watch the full video below.
